The tourism and culture ministries responded to GEPOET’s request that organized tour groups be allowed access to museums and archaeological sites with credit payment. The culture ministry announced on Monday, that for the first time individual guests and organized groups can pay for their tickets to the Acropolis site by credit card. In cases of liquidity problems, the ministry specifies that tourist groups will present vouchers. Where there are no vouchers available, travel agents responsible for the group will provide vendors at the ticket booths with a credit note complete with relevant tax information and will be required to settle payment after the opening of banks.
