Hospitality Greek Hotel Chamber Presents New Classification System by GTP editing team 2 July 2015 written by GTP editing team 2 July 2015 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 14 The Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH) presented on Wednesday, the new classification procedure for accommodation in Greece, to Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura, which aims to ensure reliability, innovation, transparency and accountability. Titled “Hospitality Quality Guaranteed”, the classification procedure, which aims to ensure that the highest standards are met across the Greek accommodation spectrum, will be carried out via the chamber’s online services and will be finalized with the issue of certification. “The objective for us is the quality of accommodation services offered, which is a precondition for the country’s tourist product to remain competitive. The new classification procedure is based on reliability, innovation, transparency and manageability,” HCH President Yiorgos Tsakiris said. Ms Kountoura, who stressed that tourism remains the country’s leading source of revenue, welcomed the initiative saying she was offering her full support and praising the hotel chamber for its efforts to improve and restructure the area of accommodation.
