Surveys, Trends & Stats SETE: Hotel Bookings Will Bounce Back if Greece is ‘Back to Normal’ After Referendum by GTP editing team 2 July 2015 written by GTP editing team 2 July 2015 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 9 Due to the recent developments in Greece, hotel bookings in the country are off by an average 30 to 40 percent, compared to the same period last year, the president of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), Andreas Andreadis, said in an announcement on Thursday. Citing available data of tour operators, Mr. Andreadis said that bookings to Greece during the same period in 2014 ranged at the level of 120.000 visitors per day, “so we are down by 36.000-48.000 bookings a day”. “Provided that after the referendum the country will be back to normal, the banking system will resume and our image abroad will be restored, it is estimated that there is still time for the flow of bookings to accelerate and to cover lost ground”, Mr. Andreadis said.
