Whatever losses have been recorded due to the situation will be restored when Greece returns to normal functioning,” she said. Mrs Kountoura said she and her team at the ministry are doing everything in their power to ensure that foreign travelers face no difficulties in banking transactions, and added that she is in constant communication with tour operators, regional authorities and tourism professionals to immediately deal with problems and ensuring the provision of supplies to tourism enterprises so that there will be no shortages. “I call on the media to support us in our efforts and to stop hurting the image of Greek tourism by reproducing false news,” the minister added. “Tourism should not be used as a political tool if we wish to defend and safeguard the country’s driving industry.” Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
