Under the ‘Give with Grace’ program, Grace Hotels donates $1 (or the local currency equivalent) for every night a room is occupied in each hotel. Guests are invited to donate the same amount for every night they stay. The combined funds are donated to support SOS Children’s Villages’ work for children at risk. Money is also raised through the sale of certain dishes and beverages within Grace Hotels’ restaurants, and branded items such as a hand-crafted sterling silver bracelet featuring the Give with Grace emblem. The total amount that will be raised from Grace Mykonos and Grace Santorini hotels will be donated to SOS Children’s Villages in Greece. It also provides practical support for families who struggle to care for their children due to emergencies, poverty and other causes. “It is an honour for us to be offering our support to this dedicated and worthwhile organisation as part of our consideration for the environment and communities in which we operate”, Lena Livanidou, Grace Hotels’ Head of Mediterranean & Africa, said. ‘Give with Grace’ will be implemented across all Grace Hotels and also its sister group, Aria Hotels. Education and training opportunities for young people supported by SOS Children’s Villages are also provided in participating hotels through a special internship program. “We hope that our guests will join us in taking a small but effective step towards a hopeful future for the many children and young people who are in need around the world”, Ms. Livanidou added. The Grace Foundation also supports numerous charities globally through the provision of room nights and special experiences at Grace Hotels.
