Greek Parliament on early Thursday approved a bill containing two more prior actions demanded by Greece’s creditors to start talks for a multibillion euro new bailout. The bill included the adoption of the European Union’s Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD) and the change of the civil procedure code. According to the voting results, a total of 230 MPs in the 300-seat parliament voted in favor of the bill. The approved bill follows a first set of reforms voted last week that focused mainly on tax hikes. A series of reforms have to be approved by Greek Parliament before European partners proceed with talks for a new three-year bailout worth up to 86 billion euros.
