The new deal, which was signed last week, gives Germany’s leading online travel services provider the chance to utilize Travelport’s products and content, allowing flexibility for the design of customized user interfaces for their travel portals.

“We can offer UNISTER Travel, its online travel portals and its customers genuine added value and meet some of their previously unmet needs. We believe this will make an important contribution to UNISTER Travel’s business success and their growth strategy over the coming years,” said Jüergen Witte, Travelport’s regional managing director for Germany and Switzerland.

UNISTER Travel operates a number of high-profile online travel portals in Germany, with its brands attracting over 10 million unique users per month.

In the meantime, Travelport continues to grow its reputation and presence in the German travel industry, Europe’s largest, after the acquisition of German tour operator distribution company, travel-IT.

“The integration of Travelport’s innovative technology into our portals will help us to further optimise the unique selection and variety of flight offerings for our customers,” said Boris Raoul, UNISTER Travel CEO.

Among others, Travelport provides critical IT services to airlines, such as shopping, ticketing, departure control and other solutions, enabling them to focus on their core business competencies and reduce costs.
