Although the Greeks seem to have changed their vacation habits this year, by cutting their getaways short and spending less, they still made online searches for destinations ideal to spend the August 15 public holiday in Greece.

Hotel comparison website Trivago recently released data on the most popular destinations searched online by Greek users for the August 15 holiday. The searches were carried out from June 1 to August 9 for the August 13-17 period.

Halkidiki is the top destination for the August 15 holiday for Greeks that search on Trivago. Next preferred spots see Thassos and Lefkada.
