Photo © Korpithas / Shutterstock The Cycladic island of Tzia (aka Kea) treats its guests to the finest of its products this weekend, during the Feast of Agricultural Products to run on August 21-23 at the Korissia primary school. During the three-day event, more than 20 small Kea producers will introduce visitors to everything from local honey and cheese to wines and herbs. At the same time, Kea restaurant sector professionals will step in to add insight into the island’s cuisine with recipes and cooking lessons using local products as music featuring island instrumentalists and plenty of dance complement the Kea experience. Admission is free and events kick off on Friday at 6pm. All of the local products will be available for sale. The traditional “glenti”(or song and dance festivities) will take place on Saturday. The picturesque island of Kea, some two hours away from Piraeus (one hour from Lavrio port), is home to some 2,500 permanent residents and is a convenient yachting trip or weekend destination.
