Hard Rock Athens Brings Superstar Fashion to Town

Hard Rock Couture_2Ever wanted to see Jimi Hendrix’ intricate jackets, the Beatles’ chic suits or the extravagant costumes sported by Lady Gaga? Well Hard Rock Cafe Athens is pleased to welcome “Hard Rock Couture” to town.

Featuring the fashion of such legendary rock icons as Brandon Flowers of The Killers fame, Paul McCartney and the Beatles, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Jimi Hendrix, Rihanna, Elvis, Madonna and many more, Hard Rock Couture, which runs through to October 31, offers fans the chance to see a collection of superstar couture that made fashion.

“Out of a 77,000-piece collection, we selected those fashion items that are bound to amaze our guests,” said Jeff Nolan, Music Memorabilia Historian for Hard Rock International, and curator of the touring show.

“The collection highlights a distinct part of music and fashion history, and provides fans with the opportunity to become acquainted with this story.”

First organized in Berlin, the traveling show includes everything from the gold Gaultier corset worn by Madonna in “Like a Virgin” to the prisoner’s jacket donned by Elvis Presley in “Jailhouse Rock”.

Opening hours: 11am-7pm daily. Admission is free.

Founded in 1971, Hard Rock is a chain of theme restaurants in 191 locations in 59 countries, and includes 145 cafes, 21 hotels and 10 casinos.
