In efforts to meet with the great demand, organizers of the 4th International Thessaloniki Night Half Marathon, to take place on October 10 in the northern port city, have extended the registration period through to Friday, September 18. More than 15,000 amateur and professional runners participated in last year’s event, and organizers expect that figure to exceed 20,000 this year. Athletes can register individually or as part of a team. Organizers invite all participants to run for a cause by joining the teams of social support groups. To register, press here. The 21.1km race kicks off at sunset – 6:45pm – on Nikis Avenue. The 5,000m Health Walk starts at 9:15pm in front of City Hall. The 4th International Thessaloniki Night Half Marathon is organised by local sports federation MEAS Triton in collaboration with the municipality and is under the auspices of the Hellenic Amateur Athletic Association (SEGAS) and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
