The “SETE Tourism Crowdhackathon, Innovating with Opendata” event will take place October 17-18 at the innovation hub “Innovathens” at the Athens Technopolis and explore ways to design and develop web and mobile applications through open data that promote tourism and improve services for visitors. SETE is inviting programmers, analysts, designers, communication and marketing experts, students, professionals and generally anyone interested to contribute actively to the development of applications that promote tourism and improve services for tourists, either as developers of Internet and smartphone applications or as supporters of the initiative. Also invited are members of the public or the private sectors to actively participate through “opening” their data on sectors related to tourism. The SETE Tourism Crowdhackathon is part of the recently launched “Crowdhackathon Innovating with Opendata” series, an initiative carried out by the Crowdpolicy Innovative Company.
