Astir Palace’s units “The Westin Athens” and “Arion Resort & Spa” came out winners at the prestigious 2015 World Travel Awards (WTA) held recently in Sardinia, Italy. Hailed as “the Oscars of the travel industry,” the World Travel Awards are held once a year and recognize, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry on a global scale. The Westin Athens, Astir Palace Beach Resort saw a double win at this year’s WTA ceremony and won the titles of Greece’s Leading Conference Hotel and Greece’s Leading Family Resort. The Presidential Suite of Arion Resort & Spa, Astir Palace, was recognised by the awards platform, being named Greece’s Leading Hotel Suite for the second year in a row.
