Event News Greece: Seen Through the Lens of Ambassadors and Diplomats by GTP editing team 23 September 2015 written by GTP editing team 23 September 2015 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 7 Seven diplomatic missions have joined forces to strengthen ties with the Greek public through a photo exhibition entitled “Greece through the diplomatic lens”. The exhibition — to run from October 2 until October 11 at the Melina Cultural Centre in Athens — will feature images of the Greek landscape and life, as seen through the eyes of ambassadors and diplomats. According to an announcement, the exhibition aims to be established as a “bridge of communication” between the Greek public and the diplomatic corps. The Greek audience is invited to see beyond the stereotypes that usually follow the diplomats and the diplomatic life. “This collective exhibition is a journey of discovery for all participant diplomats and a tribute to a country that embraces myth with reality; diversity with collective identity; and tradition with contemporary life.” The photographs have been taken by ambassadors and diplomats from the Embassies of Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Iraq, Lebanon, Russia and Switzerland during their post in Greece. The “Greece through the diplomatic lens” exhibition will be held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, with the cooperation of the Organization for Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens and the support of Greek Diplomatic Life magazine.
