euros_moneyGreek small- and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) active in tourism and employing a set number of staff in the last three years can tap into EU grants — commonly known as ESPA funds — for the upgrade of tourism infrastructure and facilities.

Investment proposals can include a budgeted investment of between 15,000 euros and 150,000 euros, to be funded at a maximum rate of 40 percent, which can however increase by 10 percentage points if additional staff is hired.

According to the pre-published announcement made on Monday, interested parties are invited to prepare their proposals. For more information on terms, conditions and eligibility, press here.

The funds are part of the EU’s National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) 2014-2020 operational program for “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation”.

The official call for submissions will be made on www.espa.gr and www.antagonistikotita.gr, and will run for two months.
