More than 75 French AJT journalists specializing in tourism issues attended the event, which is organized each year at a different destination found to be of particular interest. During the event, the HTO presented the tourism offerings of Halkidiki and Thessaloniki, and said that besides extending the tourist season, it aims to attract more that 100,000 French tourists in the next five years. During the three-day visit, the French media representatives had the chance to sample local delicacies, wine and spirits, participate in traditional festivities with plenty of song and dance, explore the region during special day trips, learn about the olive oil making process and visit the monasteries of Mt Athos.
