Alexandros Aggelopoulos, vice president of Aldemar Resorts. “Aldemar Resorts’ vision and commitment is to establish high standards of Hospitality and related services in Greek tourism as well as to place Greece on the global tourism map as an outstanding, attractive destination with top-quality services and a wealth of experiences. Committed to offering nothing less than the finest experience to the guest, we have proceeded with revamps and upgrades to our portfolio of high standard hotels. We have invested in a major renovation project at the 5-star all-inclusive family resort Amilia Mare in Kalithea, Rhodes, which includes the refurbishment of all rooms and bathrooms/facilities, the addition of new equipment, general decoration and exterior paintwork throughout. We have proceeded with a VIP upgrade at our 5-star Royal Mare Luxury Resort Thalasso in Crete. Our VIP guests will benefit from the new VIP Dine around program and be treated to their daily VIP breakfast at the El Greco restaurant. For dinner they will have the choice of any of five a la carte restaurants. Our 5-star family resort Olympian Village has undergone a makeover: A total of 120 brand new rooms, family rooms and apartments have been added, as well as the refurbishment of 32 bungalows with sea views and six seafront suites with sharing pools. We have launched a new Thalasso spa brochure for the Royal Mare Thalasso Spa Centre in Crete, one of the top 10 Thalasso centers in the world. The Royal Mare spa center is renowned for its range of treatments based on the use of Thalassotherapy. “Greece on a Dish” @ WTM We are also pleased to announce that for the fourth consecutive year Aldemar Resorts, together with the Greek National Tourism Organization, will once again promote the profile of Greek cuisine at the World Travel Market in London. This is part of the ‘Greece on a Dish’ initiative from Aldemar Resorts that aims to highlight Greek cuisine, both in Greece and abroad. For travelers, food is not just a means to refuel when abroad but something that stays in memory long after their holidays. With this in mind, we have been consciously promoting our food offering in all our hotels ensuring quality and authenticity. At the same time, when there are overseas exhibitions we love to extend the food offering to visitors so that they too can indulge in a few moments of heavenly escape from the very busy networking days. Working with GNTO UK at World Travel Market has been a delight and we are looking forward to doing so for our fourth consecutive year, bringing ‘Greece on a dish’ to London’s Excel with our culinary team of chefs.” Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
