In the meantime, the Creta Maris Beach Resort also won Kuoni Apollo’s “Gold Customers Choice Award 2014” for being a much-loved choice of Scandinavian visitors to Crete, the “Top Hotel Partner 2015” award by German tour operator Schauinsland, and the Association of Cretan Tourism and Travel Agencies (ACTTA) prize for its crisis management drills.

Founded by Nikos Metaxas, the family-owned business has since offered visitors to the island the finest services and the most memorable experiences of local culture, cuisine and hospitality.

Creta Maris, which was also the first hotel in Greece to obtain the ISO 9001 International Quality Certificate in 1995, actively supports the local community by providing the majority of its jobs to locals, and is always seeking new ways to enhance the tourism experience by annually reinvesting approximately 20 percent of its yearly turnover in upgrades and modernization.
