Making Waves: Naxos to Host Freestyle Windsurfing Event, Oct 24-25

Largest event of its kind in Greece to take place at the “Laguna” at Agios Georgios beach

Get ready for some surfing action! Greece’s largest Freestyle Windsurfing event is set to take place on Naxos, the largest island of the Cyclades.

The Greek Freestyle Windsurf Tour (GFWT) — whose first stop was Drepano, Achaea in the Peloponnese in May — is teaming up with the Naxian Freestyle Contest for an unbeatable two days of flips and stunts from some of the country’s top freestyle windsurfers.

It all happens at the beach spot known as the Laguna, a natural and ideal windsurfing spot, adjacent to Agios Georgios beach, just a few kilometres from Naxos town.

Organiser of the event is Water Board Sports Festival (WBSF) — creator of a variety of water sport events such as windsurfing, SUP and kitesurfing — in collaboration with three Naxos water sport clubs: Laguna Beach Park, Flisvos Sport Club and Flisvos WaterSports.

Athletes participating will receive free accommodation for the three-day weekend and a chance to win prizes.
