Following two excellent tourism years, Athens is stepping up efforts to further enrich its tourism product and services, as a year-round leisure and business travel destination.

Under the strategic guidelines set by the City of Athens, the Athens Development & Destination Management Agency (ADDMA) is moving ahead with new projects and tools, for travel trade professionals and visitors as well.

To name a few:

The  Athens Destination Specialist Program – our interactive training program designed to help tour operators, conference organizers, travel bloggers and media reps to sell Athens, is “on air”. On certification, you’ll receive Athens’  Destination Specialist badge to display on your website, brochures and business card.

This is Athens is the city of Athens official platform offering the visitor all the necessary information to plan a trip to our beautiful city. The launch of the newly  revamped website is  planned for early November. Stay tuned!

The Travel Trade Manual for Athens, was launched this year as the first B2B key-tool created to help travel professionals to better promote Athens and its product. For a free download, please access here.

This is MY Athens – an initiative of the City of Athens CVB created to provide different options of tailor made walks (gastronomy, street art , shopping, etc),  offering the traveler the unique opportunity to see the hidden paths of our city through the eyes of an Athens local.

Last but not least, coming in 2016, the 4th edition of the Travel Trade Athens Annual Workshop.
