Listed Greek company Attica Group was named ‘True Leader’ during the ICAP Group Awards held on Tuesday, October 27, placing the company among the country’s 200 most profitable business entities.

According to ICAP’s Business Leaders in Greece publication, Attica — a member of Marfin Investment Group (MIG), the largest Greek business and investment entity — holds the 38th spot.

Attica is also listed among groups with the largest workforce, ranking 78th in the “Leading Employers” category with 900 employees.

“This significant distinction recognizes the Group’s efforts to remain unscathed by the unprecedented economic crisis we are experiencing, maintaining its leading position in the passenger shipping sector, its values and the quality for which it became known,” Attica Group CEO Spiros Paschalis said, thanking ICAP Group for the award and Attica employees for their hard work and dedication.

Attica Group is the parent company of Superfast and Blue Star ferries. The group’s 13 ships operate in domestic and international waters, offering connections between Greece and Italy in the Adriatic Sea and between mainland Greece and the Cycladic and Dodecanese islands as well as Crete.

One of the leading business services group in South Eastern Europe, ICAP offers through its 13 subsidiaries credit risk services, marketing solutions, management consulting and people & employment solutions.
