We welcome you in joining us for yet another year at the largest tourism exhibition of our country.

Welcome to the 31st Philoxenia!

This autumn and the winter that follows are very special seasons as they come after a difficult summer that put to the test both tourism and the travel agents sector. Many difficulties surfaced. However, they are gradually beginning to tone down so that we can return to our normal pace.

Every year, people of the tourism sector from all over the world, meet here in Philoxenia to promote travel. Each year, we are more anxious about the progress of tourism as it is a driving force for Greece’s economic growth. Luckily, every year we manage to maintain Greek tourism’s high level and also improve ourselves.

Of course, difficulties and challenges are increasing but we do our best so that travel agents can remain pioneers and necessary as professionals to tourists and travelers and offer complete and excellent journeys, organized down to their every detail.

Of course, participation in larger exhibitions abroad — such as the World Travel Market (WTM) in London — that have worldwide promotion and a larger visitor range, is just as important as taking part in domestic exhibitions. It is a great honor for Greek tourism to be represented at WTM, a leading tourism exhibition, especially since extroversion is what the sector needs now more than ever.

Therefore, we hope that every tourism exhibition will be the incentive and the beginning for the best possible collaboration in all tourism fields on a European level.
