According to an announcement, 11 of the airline’s destinations will get 126,000 additional seats. The capacity will rise to 357,000 seats in the summer of 2016 compared to 231,000 seats in 2015. For Greece, there will now be improved accessibility to the popular islands of Kos, Santorini, Corfu, Zakynthos, Crete (Chania & Heraklion), Lefkada, Mykonos, Mytilene, Samos and Rhodes from Amsterdam. As well as more seats to Kos, Rhodes and Heraklion from Eindhoven. Furthermore, aiming to meet the demand in the market for more choice and flexibility for passengers and tour operators, Transavia will increase the frequency and scheduling of more flights and flying days. “We believe in developing markets in close collaboration with tour operators”, Roy Scheerder, Commercial Director at Transavia, said. “We are moving with the market trend of fewer charter flights and are increasingly focusing on scheduled flights”, he added. Destinations can be booked starting from 59 euros (one-way, depending on availability, including booking & payment fees) as from today and there will be frequent flights from April throughout the entire summer season of 2016.
