Lufthansa2Lufthansa said on Sunday that all flights to and from Athens will be cancelled on Monday, November 9, due to the ongoing strike by the Lufthansa flight attendant union – UFO.

“Lufthansa regrets this and will do its utmost to transfer all passengers to other flights. We call upon all customers holding tickets for tomorrow’s flight to contact their travel agencies or go on to Lh.com (my booking) to view rebooking options. Furthermore we call upon customers not to come to the airport.”

The union’s strike is part of a week-long walk-out due to a dispute over retirement benefits.

The strike will affect short and long-haul flights under the Lufthansa brand at Frankfurt, Munich and Duesseldorf. In total, Lufthansa is cancelling 929 flights, affecting 113,000 passengers.
