The ACI Europe Airport Traffic report, which includes network, low cost and charter flights, found that in September 2015, AIA reported a 14.7 percent increase in the number of passengers it handled, ranking fourth. Tel Aviv Airport was positioned first with 31.2 percent growth, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen came second with a 22.6 percent increase, Ankara third with a 16.5 percent rise and Dublin fifth up by 14.3 percent. Third quarter results for 2015 indicate similar findings with AIA ranked fourth again at 18.3 percent after Tel Aviv with 25.1 percent, Istanbul SAW at 24.1 percent and Ankara 19.5 percent, and followed by Dublin with 15.6 percent growth. ACI Europe reported meanwhile that passenger traffic at European airports increased 6.2 percent year-on-year in September 2015.
