The Meteora and Mt Olympus Mediatrip 2015 was organized as part of destination managers Visit Meteora’s ongoing efforts to introduce the world to the potential of mainland Greece as an adventure and experiential tourism destination. The trip focused on edutainment outdoor activities, as well as sustainable and responsive tourism in some of the most iconic destinations in Greece, such as Athens, Meteora and Mt Olympus, and included everything from hiking and Greek food sampling, to visits of natural wonders and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The fam trip was made possible thanks to the support of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the Region of Thessaly, the Municipality of Kalambaka, the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (HATTA), the Meteora Hotel Association and the Association of Meteora Tourism Enterprises (STEM). Visit Meteora is a group of travel professionals and local destination experts focusing on providing travelers to the region with extraordinary and enriching experiences. The Greek Travel Pages (GTP) was a media sponsor of the fam trip. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
