Company updates Attica Group Issues 6th CSR Report by GTP editing team 19 November 2015 written by GTP editing team 19 November 2015 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 15 Attica Group announced on Tuesday that it has published its 6th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report for the year 2014, presenting the group’s performance on sustainable development. A member of Marfin Investment Group (MIG), Attica Group is a participant in the UN Global Compact since 2008 and the only passenger shipping company in Greece to issue a CSR report. The group this year drew up the report in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative GRI – G4 guidelines, focusing on the implementation of the procedure of materiality, completed in 2014. The report also highlights innovative activities and initiatives taken during the previous year, including the group’s cooperation with Eco Marine Power for the pilot installation of a photovoltaic module on board the Blue Star Delos, with the aim to extend the project to other Attica ships, as well as its participation in the Global Compact “Call for Action” against corruption and bribery. Attica Group CEO Spiros Paschalis. “There is no doubt that the Corporate Social Responsibility Report is an administration and management tool of crucial significance. In this context, today, we attempt to become more systematically involved in CSR policies and actions so as to meet international standards and be ready for the statutory obligations to come,” Attica Group CEO Spiros Paschalis said in a statement. “Profitability depends on entrepreneurship, development, quality, the economy, mitigating risks, building a solid reputation, ‘making the difference’, standing out from the competition.
