The group will perform at 12:30 noon at the Departures Level – Airport’s Shopping Center, an area open to the public. Since their entrance in the music scene in 2011, Melios Balkana Mama have collaborated with many important artists such as the Athens State Orchestra, Yiannis Kotsiras, Nikos Portokaloglou, Gerasimos Andreatos, Sofia Papazoglou and others. The group has taken part in several festivals and projects such as the Athens World Music Festival and the ARK Festival. “Melios Balkana Mama” are: Melios Katatsamakis: lyrics, music, vocals, trumpet Alexandros Livitsanos: musical arrangement, keyboards, horn Menelaos Moraitis: tuba Dimitris Bosinakos: drums Spyros Pelekanos: electric guitar Panayiotis Danikas: electric bass Jim Staridas: trompone Markos Karavas: alto and baritone saxophone Myrto Kamvisidi: vocals The “Musicport” is part of the Fly me to the Moon, a manifold cooperation between Athens International Airport and ελculture cultural platform.
