Aldemar’s VP Named Sustainability Ambassador

Aldemar Resorts Vice President Alexandros Angelopoulos has been named Sustainability Ambassador by the Sustainable Greece 2020 Initiative, for adopting sustainable development and responsible business policies.

Launched by the QualityNet Foundation in partnership with the leading business associations of Greece, the Sustainable Greece 2020 Initiative aims to raise awareness among the local business community and society at large on issues of sustainable development, responsible entrepreneurship and social responsibility.

For more than 16 years, the Aldemar Group has through its Mare Verde social responsibility program worked to reduce its carbon footprint, preserve the environment, support the local community and at the same time offer services of the highest quality. Projects include growing organic tomatoes and the installation of solar panels at its resorts.

Aldemar’s commitment has repeatedly been recognized with a series of awards including the Travelife Silver for Sustainability in Tourism and the Green Key Quality Mark from the Foundation of Environmental Education.
