The ACVB participated in the sector trade fair which this year recorded a record number of appointments, over 80,000 scheduled before the start of the show, among some 4,000 hosted buyers in attendance. According to the ACVB, foreign professionals in tourism expressed a steady interest in Athens as a city break but also a conference destination, with ACVB representatives participating in more than 60 meetings with hosted buyers. Main queries included the highlights of Athens as a destination, ACVB services, and information on how to organize an event in the Greek capital. Meanwhile, there was increased interest in incentive travel as well as selecting Athens as a host city for major international conferences in period 2017-2019.
