Event News Second Greek Tourism Expo Kicks Off by GTP editing team 3 December 2015 written by GTP editing team 3 December 2015 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 15 One-hundred hosted buyers, 3,800 Β2Β meetings and 200 sector-wide exhibitors will get together this weekend to talk tourism and more at the 2nd International Greek Tourism Expo to be inaugurated at the Metropolitan Expo by Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura on Friday, December 4. The show, to run through to December 6, brings together sector professionals from Greece and abroad to explore the potential, forge business ties and collaborations and discuss the challenges of tourism. Parallel events on Friday, December 4, include a Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) workshop on “Adapting the Promotion of the Greek Tourism Product to New Challenges” (12:30-14:30pm), a Hellenic Chamber of Hotels presentation titled “Platform for Online Booking, Organizing Travel and Business Partnerships in Tourism” (4:30pm) and a presentation of the “We Do Local” initiative (3-4pm). The events on Saturday, December 5, will kick off with a workshop by the Association of Cruise Ship Owners and Maritime Agencies-EEKFN (10am-1:30pm) and continue with a Trivago event (1:30-2:30pm). The 2nd International Greek Tourism Expo is held with the support of the tourism ministry, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) and the Association of Cruise Ship Owners and Maritime Agencies (EEKFN).
