Organized with the support of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the THA together with the Halkidiki Hotel Association, introduced journalists, travel agents and tour operators to the diverse forms of tourism that Thessaloniki and the surrounding region cater to. Panel discussions paved the way for a better understanding of the regional amenities and accommodation choices while a number of participants spoke of their experiences from recent visits to the region. A workshop was also held presenting Thessaloniki as an ideal 12-month city break. The THA also attended the 10th Mice and Business Travel Event in Amsterdam, last month, promoting the city’s wide array of MICE options and forging ties with corporate and meeting planners, travel managers and travel consultants.
