Event News Thessaloniki Hoteliers Mark ‘100 Years of Hospitality’ with Book Release by GTP editing team 18 December 2015 written by GTP editing team 18 December 2015 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 10 Thessaloniki hoteliers paid tribute to the sector and to their association on Wednesday, with the release of 100 Years of Hospitality – Thessaloniki Hotels 1914-2014 during a special book release ceremony at the city’s historic Macedonia Palace. Published by University Studio Press, the 283-page anniversary edition complete with archival material, photographs and historical information marks 100 years since the founding of the Thessaloniki Hotels Association (THA). Described as a “dream come true”, the book was written and edited by historian Vassilis Kolonas. “The Thessaloniki Hotels Association’s long history and its contribution to society only heightens within each of us the responsibility to continue serving the purposes for which the THA was founded with consistency and to contribute to the development of the region,” THA President Aristotelis Thomopoulos said during his opening address. The book – 100 Years of Hospitality – Thessaloniki Hotels 1914-2014 – is available at book shops countrywide.
