B2B events BTPF 2015 Deemed a Success, Boosts Business Ties Between Tourism Sector Professionals by GTP editing team 21 December 2015 written by GTP editing team 21 December 2015 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 10 Save the date for the 4th BTPF – November 24-25, 2016 Over 1,500 B2B meetings took place between hotel entrepreneurs, leading tourism enterprises and travel agencies during the 3rd Business Travel Professionals Forum (BTPF) held on 10-11 December at the Metropolitan Athens Hotel in Athens. George Constantinidis, Manager of Simple Way of Tourism (SWOT). Organized by tourism enterprises development company Simple Way of Tourism (SWOT), the two-day event offered networking opportunities for tourism sector entrepreneurs to share ideas, knowhow and ultimately forge professional ties. Founded in 2013, Athens-based SWOT is active in hospitality management consulting, sales representation and marketing. “We have developed a modern event that focuses on the increase of sales and the development of collaborations between the key players of the Greek and European tourism market”, SWOT Manager George Constantinidis said in his welcome address to the BTPF 2015 participants. In its third year, the forum attracted 41 elite hotel groups from Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria and over 100 national and international travel agencies and a corresponding number of corporate accounts that conduct business in Greek destinations. “This year’s participation of travel agencies from all over Europe will promote the message ‘destination Greece’ to all their countries”, Mr Constantinidis said. According to SWOT, the forum is considered the largest B2B event concerning the development and the promotion of Greece’s tourism product. The 3rd BTPF was held under the auspices of the Greek Tourism Ministry, the Municipality of Athens, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), the Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers (HAPCO) and the Culture & Tourism office of the Turkish Embassy. The 4th BTPF is scheduled for November 24-25, 2016. The GTP (Greek Travel Pages) was a media sponsor of the event.
