Ellinair_A319Greek carrier Ellinair, member of Mouzenidis Group, last week added a second Airbus A319 to its service.

The new A319 has 144 seats and will initially serve the airline’s domestic routes and international routes to Moscow.

“Development, innovation and commitment to quality are the elements that characterize Ellinair’s strategy and reflect our continuous effort for positive results”, Ellinair’s president, Ioannis Mouzenidis, said upon the arrival of the new A319 at the airline’s base at Thessaloniki International Airport on Tuesday, February 2.

“Receiving our new aircraft is a testament to our growth and investment in the country’s tourism industry, despite the critical conditions of the times.”

The new A319 is expected to start flights by the end of the month, once the air carrier certification (AOC) process is complete.

“We are delighted to welcome the second A319 to our fleet, a modern aircraft that I personally think fully meets the business objectives of Ellinair, especially after the new and significant expansion of our destinations in Western Europe”, Ellinair’s commercial director, Stavros Daliakas, said.

Ellinair’s fleet this year will comprise a total of eight to ten aircraft and serve destinations in more than 15 countries.
