The highest passenger traffic during January 2016 was recorded at the airports of Athens, Thessaloniki, Chania, Heraklion and Rhodes. Moreover, the total number of flights at Greek airports last month reached 19,890 (of which 12,459 were domestic flights and 7,431 were international) showing an increase of 4.5 percent (+6.1 percent on domestic flights and +1.8 percent on international) compared to January 2015 when 19,035 flights took place.
