It’s haute cuisine by French chef Jean Imbert on board all Air France Economy and Premium Economy long-haul flights as part of the French carrier’s efforts to upmarket its products and services.

Flyers will have the chance as of April 1 to select Imbert’s gourmet option, which includes a cold organic quinoa-based starter, poached egg and tarragon, followed by a warm stew and topped off with a fruity fondant dessert, as an alternative to the standard a la carte menu offered on board.

Under the name “Le marché de Jean Imbert”, the innovative meal can be ordered for an additional 21 euros or 7,000 Flying Blue Miles.

Chef Imbert won Season 3 of “Top Chef” in 2012, thanks to his emblematic dishes and went on in 2015 to open “Les Bols de Jean” with Eric Kayser, a chic eco-canteen concept.
