Event News Cameras Rolling at 8th Larissa Film Fest Next Week by GTP editing team 15 February 2016 written by GTP editing team 15 February 2016 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 6 The city of Larissa, in central Greece, is ready to welcome the 8th International Film Festival / Artfools under the motto: “The City: One Big Cinema” to run on February 20-28. Jointly organized by non-profit group artfools and the Larissa Municipality with the support of the Thessaly Region, the eight-day event will include international, Greek, student and animation film competitions, tributes, art and photography exhibitions, documentary screenings, workshops, master classes, film forums, a focus on Norwegian and Korean cinema, screening of Thessaloniki Fine Arts School films, a tribute to Greek director Nikos Koundouros as well as a focus on Rainer Werner Fassbinder and David Bowie. Other institutions lending their support to the event are the French Institute, which will host the main part of the festival, the Municipal Art Gallery – G.I. Katsigras Museum, the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaly (TEI) as well as the University of Thessaly, which is this year behind the English subtitling of the films with Erasmus +. The 8th Larissa Film Fest will also cast the spotlight on the refugee crisis. The Greek Travel Pages (GTP) is a communication sponsor of the event.
