The alternate tourism minister will be accompanied by GNTO Secretary General Dimitris Tryfonopoulos who had recently visited Iran and made contacts with representatives of the Iranian tourism market. While in Tehran, Ms Kountoura will meet with her Iranian counterpart, tour operators and representatives of the country’s tourism market in order to strengthen ties between the two countries and boost arrivals to Greece. Her visit takes place one week after the official visit of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to Iran.
