Company updates HotelBrain Sees Clients’ 2015 Turnover Rise by GTP editing team 16 February 2016 written by GTP editing team 16 February 2016 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 6 The hotels managed by Greek hotel management company HotelBrain had a turnover of 72.8 million euros in the financial year of 2015, an increase from 51.4 million euros in 2014. The data was announced during the company’s fourth annual meeting held at the 11th HORECA expo on Saturday. HotelBrain also announced an increase in last year’s Average Room Rate (ADR) for the hotels it manages, which reached 210.34 euros (from 181.36 euros in 2014). Occupancy figures for those hotels were similar to last year’s numbers (72 percent). The company currently manages more than 130 hotels in 55 destinations in seven countries. This year, HotelBrain expects to increase the properties under its management to over 150 and plans to enter four new markets: Romania, Bosnia – Herzegovina, Spain and Malta. The company has already proceeded with opening offices in London. During its annual meeting, the establishment of the HotelBrain Capital was also announced. HotelBrain Capital is a subsidiary and the investment arm of HotelBrain which aims to create a portfolio by acquiring hotels (through leases, etc.), then upgrading them by investing capital, repositioning them on the market and increasing their commercial value. HotelBrain Capital already has a portfolio of 11 hotel units throughout Greece and aims to include 60 over the next three years. Also, in regards to upgrading services based on technological development, last year 39 percent of the hotels the company manages launched new web sites in accordance to new technologies. According to data from the Department On Line Marketing & Web Performance of HotelBrain, the websites of 74 percent of the hotels managed by Hotelbrain are now compatible with mobile devices (up from 34 percent in 2014). Last year HotelBrain claimed the title of Europe’s Leading Hotel Management Company at the 22nd World Travel Awards.
