Company updates Caribbean Airline LIAT Partners with Discover the World by GTP editing team 18 February 2016 written by GTP editing team 18 February 2016 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 8 Caribbean airline LIAT has launched a partnership with Discover the World in an aim to reach key offline markets. “We are very pleased to be working with Discover the World and look forward to growing our customer base and extending our presence into new markets”, said David Evans, CEO of LIAT. “LIAT doesn’t currently have representation in the UK, Europe, USA and Canada where a lot of interline passengers and potential passengers are based”, added Mr Evans. “This partnership offers an opportunity for us to grow our awareness and presence.” As part of the the LIAT team, Discover the World will represent the carrier at key events, growing its sales channels and creating awareness of the brand. Founded in 1956, LIAT is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. LIAT airlines connects the Caribbean islands from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic all the way down to Trinidad. Discover the World will represent LIAT in 47 countries and be responsible for raising the number of visitors traveling between the islands onto LIAT’s network. “By using our field sales expertise with digital marketing, we will increase brand awareness and drive more customers”, Ian Murray, Discover’s vice president said. LIAT operates a modern fleet of ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft across a regional network of 18 destinations: Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Nevis, Puerto Rico, St Croix, St Kitts, St Lucia, St Maarten, St Thomas, St Vincent, Tortola and Trinidad.
