Katsiadaki_Travelport_2Travelport, a leading Travel Commerce Platform, on Monday announced the appointment of Helen Katsiadaki as Sales Manager for Greece, with immediate effect. Ms. Katsiadaki, formerly Senior New Business Development Manager for Greece, will now lead both of Travelport’s commercial functions in Greece — New Business Development and Account Management. She will continue to report to Leonidas Zotos, General Manager for Greece, Cyprus and Israel.

“Following Helen’s appointment as Sales Manager for Greece, both of our commercial functions, New Business Development and Account Management, will be working even closer together to meet the growth expectations of our customers”, Mr Zotos said.

“With her deep understanding of the needs of our travel agency customers and her supportive approach, Helen will take us to the next step of our mission to redefine travel commerce in Greece together.”

As former Senior New Business Development Manager for Greece for nine years, Ms. Katsiadaki has played an instrumental role in enabling the growth of Travelport’s Travel Commerce Platform in the country. Before joining Travelport in 2007, she was Key Account Manager of Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and one of the first commercial airlines established in the Middle East.

Ms. Katsiadaki’s commercial and industry experience within the Greek travel community spans over 28 years and she previously held sales roles at organisations such as TWA, Cronus Airlines, and Hellas Jet.

“Travelport has identified Greece as a key growth country so I’m looking forward to fully embracing my new role and making the most of this opportunity”, Ms. Katsiadaki said.

“I’m also proud to be leading such a strong team which will continue to help the Greek travel industry achieve ambitious goals for the future.”
