aeromexico_dreamlinerFollowing the launch of the nonstop service between Mexico City and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport in January 2016, Aeromexico, Mexico’s global airline, announced that it will increase flights between the two capital cities to five times a week starting in June.

The Mexico City-Tokyo nonstop service helps customers save three hours of travel time compared with the current schedule, including layovers, so that passengers can enjoy more time at this leisure and business destination.

The carrier will continue to serve the Tokyo route with its Boeing 787 Dreamliner configured in two classes, with 32 seats in Clase Premier, the Aeromexico Business Class cabin, and 211 seats in the main cabin.

Aeromexico’s five weekly flights will provide enhanced connectivity options for business customers traveling via the carrier’s major hub, Terminal 2 in the Mexico City International Airport, to its 46 destinations in Mexico, including Aguascalientes, Cancun, Guadalajara, Leon, Los Cabos, Monterrey, Queretaro, and San Luis Potosi, and its 40 international destinations, including Lima and Havana, among others.

Flight AM 058 will depart from Mexico City at 12:21 a.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and arrive at Tokyo at 6:20 a.m. the next day (local time). The return flight AM 057 will depart from Tokyo at 3:25 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and arrive in Mexico City at 1:10 p.m. (local time).

According to Aeromexico’s CRMO Anko van der Werff, the nonstop service will benefit the business sector with enhanced connectivity for the automotive industry and Mexico as a whole, representing an increase of seat capacity of 17 percent between both nations.

“Aeromexico continues to be the only airline in Latin America providing nonstop service to Asia without layovers in the United States”, he said.
