Attica Group Offers Humanitarian Assistance to Refugees in Piraeus, Samos

1 FAXAttica Group, member of Marfin Investment Group (MIG), has delivered quantities of fresh milk, juice and cereal to the refugees that have found temporary shelter at the passenger stations of the port of Piraeus and distributed light meals to the refugees on Samos.

The company said that there actions aim to care for basic needs of the refugees and also provide psychological support to them as they are in need of warm and human sympathy following various hardships.

“Attica Group stands by the needs of refugees and supports the efforts of the Greek State to address the great difficulties posed by the growing number of refugees stranded in our country”, the company said in an announcement on Friday.

Hoping for a swift solution to the issue, Attica Group pledged to continue to provide assistance to the refugees.

Attica Group is the parent company of Superfast Ferries and Blue Star Ferries. The group’s ships operate in domestic and international waters, offering connections between Greece and Italy in the Adriatic Sea and between mainland Greece and the Cycladic and Dodecanese islands as well as Crete.
