City Branding in the Spotlight at 5th Xinis Tourism Meet

XinisEducationFestival2016Xinis Education Festival 2016City branding and the potential of the Athenian Riviera tops the agenda of the 5th Xinis Tourism Conference on March 9 to be hosted at the Glyfada City Hall.

Jointly organized by IEK Xinis Glyfada Tourism School and the Glyfada municipality, the event starts at 11am tomorrow as part of the ongoing 2016 Xinis Education Festival and will focus on ways to transform the so-called Athenian Riviera into a major tourist hotspot.

Experts from the sector including hoteliers, marketeers, brand managers, tourist services providers, shipping and yachting insiders, spa and wellness providers will share their views on how to best utilize and promote the plethora of top-notch tourist offerings available on the Athenian Riviera, which runs from the port of Piraeus all the way to Cape Sounion along the coastal Poseidonos Ave.

Issues to be discussed include the latest communication efforts launched bythe Astir Palace, the contribution of new technologies to the marketing of hotel and tourist facilities, the Athenian Riviera and destination Athens, spa tourism, yachting tourism and marinas, branding, prospects of the Glyfada municipality, medical tourism, the role of stakeholders in the promotion of the Athenian Riviera.

Admission to the conference and to 180 seminars and educational events taking place in the context of this year’s Xinis Education Festival is free.
