The minister discussed the forum during the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT), which opened on Wednesday, and runs through to March 26 at the Moscow Expocentre. The event is particularly timely as it falls within the ongoing Greece-Russia Cross-year events. The May forum, which aims to boost the exchange of tourists between the two countries, will also feature a conference on religious/pilgrimage tourism, and will include the participation of governmental and regional tourist operators from Russia and Greece, Russian media and tourism professionals. In the meantime, in efforts to facilitate travel to Greece, Russian media report that Greek visa centers will be opening in seven Russian cities on March 28: Vologda, Voronezh, Petrozavodsk, Arkhangelsk, Novgorod, Smolensk and Pskov as well as in Moscow. At the 29 centers, Greece aims to issue visas within 48 hours. The Greek Travel Pages (GTP) is a media partner of MITT.
