Budgeted at 200 million euros and creating at least 500 jobs, the so-called green field project can host up to 700 dwellings which will be equipped with the latest in sustainable and energy-saving technology with the aim to create the first “green” settlement in Greece. Aldemar’s Alexandros Aggelopoulos Aldemar Resorts Vice President Alexandros Angelopoulos said talks and negotiations are underway with some developments expected in 2016, adding that “realism and boldness are required to complete such an ambitious project flawlessly”. Potential buyers will be given the option to either maintain the home all year round or hand it over to the hotel group to manage. Buyers can chose the size, layout, extras such as pool, recreational facilities, security services, etc. In the meantime, complete hotel services will be provided in efforts to improve the standard of living and offer residents a sense of security. Foreign investors have expressed interest in participating in the Olympia project. Founded in 1977, Aldemar is an award-winning accommodation group in Greece with a total 5,500-bed capacity and 1,800 employees.
