According to sources, the two women met recently to discuss ways to boost the tourist product and convey the beauty of Greece through a series of promotional campaigns.

Under the motto: “Greek Beauty x 2”, the two women will together visit international tourism fairs to present the advantages of Greece as a tourist destination.

On conclusion of their talks, the two women shook hands, smiled to the cameras and said that in the name of tourism and of Greece, compromises must be made.

Both high profile politicians, Ms Kountoura was formerly a model selected in 1990 by CNN as one of the 10 most beautiful women in the world, while Ms Kefalogianni carries the legacy of her political upbringing and a Cretan resolve.
