Following their successful “Walk Athens! Signs” initiative which aimed to make walking the Greek capital easier for residents and travelers, the two groups presented the new park on Pireos Ave last month. Nelios and atenistas volunteers transformed an abandoned area in the Gazi district into a fully-fledged park recycling many of the debris into facilities. “Through this action, besides improving the premises on Piraeus Ave, we want to send out the message that every small action counts towards great change,” said Nelios CEO Dimitris Serifis. nelios.com has since its inception collected a number of awards for its marketing strategies in tourism, boasting some of the biggest names in the tourism market as its clients, including the Poseidonion Grand Hotel on Spetses, the Marquis Luxury Resort on Rhodes, and the Grand Forest in Metsovo, among many others. The atenistas are an open group of involved Athens residents who are determined to upgrade the living conditions in the Greek capital by organizing a series of community initiatives in that direction. Their motto: action, positive energy and creativity. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
