No Flights to/from Greek Airports on Thursday, April 7, due to Strike

Cancelled Flights Departures BoardNo flights will arrive or depart from Greek airports on Thursday, April 7, due to the participation of the Federation of Hellenic Civil Aviation Associations and of the Union of Greek Air Traffic Controllers in a nationwide strike called by Greece’s public sector union, ADEDY.

The union is protesting the government’s pension reform plans.

The strike of the air traffic controllers will start at 0:01 after midnight on Wednesday (Thursday morning) and end at midnight of the same day (Thursday).

During the 24-hour strike no scheduled or charter flights will operate to and from all Greek airports.

Meanwhile, port workers in Greece have announced that they will strike on Friday, April 8, in protest of the planned privatization of the Piraeus and Thessaloniki port authorities.
